Rusty tin shingles

These shingles are less than 20 years old.  The pattern of rust strongly suggests that there was a manufacturing problem of some of the shingles.


In my experience, this problem is rare.


The solution is to insure you use a primer that will control this level of rust.  The "paint", or coating, protects the high quality primer plus provide a pleasing, long-term, non-flaking appearance.
